Ticket buyers urged to act fast as many other sessions also on cusp of sellout
Championship Sunday, August 17, at the Western & Southern Open, is the first session of the much-anticipated 2014 event to be officially recorded as a sell out.
The Saturday evening session on the prior day, the second half of the semifinals, is also now sold out, reaching that status shortly after the finals. And, an additional number of sessions are nearing sellout status.
Fans looking to see the best men’s and women’s tennis players in the world competing in Cincinnati can still obtain tickets for other sessions during the week, including the day session of the semifinals on Saturday, August 16 and other late and early round sessions.
“The beauty of a tournament is that the best players need to work their way through the draw in their attempt to claim the title, which means there are many opportunities to watch them during the week,” said marketing director Will Sikes. “Plus, the amount of great food, music and multiple matches occurring simultaneously during the other days is appealing for passionate and casual fans alike.”
Tournament organizers are encouraging fans to purchase their tickets in advance by visiting the tournament website cincytennis.com, calling the ticket office at 513.651.0303 or purchasing from Ticketmaster.
