Western & Southern Open Secures Record Number of Partners

More Than 50 Brands Included in Sponsorship Roster

 

CINCINNATI (Aug. 6, 2019) – A record number of partners have signed on to be a part of the 2019 Western & Southern Open.

 

In total, more than 50 companies are sponsoring the August 10-18 tournament which is one of five professional tennis events in the world to feature an ATP Masters 1000 and a WTA Premier level tournament at the same venue in the same week.

 

The Western & Southern Open is held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. The 22.6 acre venue has 17 courts, including a 11,614-seat Center Court plus three additional permanent stadiums. The annual event has attracted more than 190,000 fans in four of the last five years.

 

“The deep roster of partners reflects the value proposition tennis presents by offering a diverse, active and engaged audience that spends a great deal of time with the event, whether viewing at home or visiting the venue,” said Tournament Director Andre Silva. “Our partners recognize the opportunity presented by the Western & Southern Open, from the expansive international broadcast exposure to the chance to have personal contact with the more than 190,000 fans who attend the event.”

 

Cincinnati-based Western & Southern Financial Group continues their title sponsorship for an 18th year. The tournament has included Western & Southern in its name since 2002, making this the longest running active title sponsorship at a professional tennis tournament in North America. The company’s activation on-site includes autograph sessions in their booth and an opportunity for patron’s to join the world’s greatest tennis players on court to participate in pre-match coin tosses.

 

The tournament’s partnership with Porsche, which was previously announced, is one of eight new relationships for 2019. Porsche, the Official Automotive Partner, will have a diverse presence at the event, from on-court serve speed signage to an on-site racing simulator for patrons to enjoy.

 

Also joining the tournament for the first time this year are Body Armor, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, Constellation Brands (Kim Crawford), Don Julio/Captain Morgan, First Watch, InterContinental Hotels Group – Holiday Inn Express and Motorola.

 

UC Health, the tournament’s official medical services, health care and sports medicine provider, is among the companies who have renewed their agreement with the Western & Southern Open this year. Other partners who have re-upped include Key Bank, Medical Mutual, Prasco/Ignition and SAP.

 

Returning partners include FILA, the official Apparel and Footwear of the Western & Southern Open. On-court personnel, including ball persons and officials, will be clothed head to toe in FILA gear, including FILA’s new Axilus 2 Energized footwear. The nearly 1,400 member tournament volunteer team will also be outfitted by FILA. Replica Western & Southern Open uniform collections as well as special-edition event merchandise will be available during the tournament on-site at Midwest Sports.

 

Other returning partners for this year include American Express, Cheese of Europe, Dayton International Airport, Emirates, First Financial Bank, Powernet, Rolex and US Bank Private Client Reserve.

The Western & Southern Open, a WTA Premier 5 and ATP Masters 1000 tournament, is part of the US Open Series. In addition to world class tennis, the W&S Open features more than 25 musical acts, 16 food vendors, six signature bar areas and a retail plaza for patrons to enjoy between matches. Started in 1899, the tournament annually supports a number of Cincinnati area charities.
