The top entered team is world No. 1 Joe Salisbury and No. 2 Rajeev Ram. Together, they have two Grand Slam major titles and two ATP Masters 1000 titles. Eight former Western & Southern Open men's doubles champions, including the 2018 winning team of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares, are in the field, along with six former women's champions. Lucie Hradecka, who holds a record three Western & Southern Open doubles titles, and two-time champion Sania Mirza are teaming up this year to try to win their first W&S Open title together.
This year’s French Open runners-up and Doha WTA 1000 winners Coco Gauff and Jessica Pegula are entered, as well as ATP Masters 1000 Miami winners John Isner and Hubert Hurkacz.
