It’s Military and Uniformed Personnel Appreciation Day

Today is one of our favorite days here at the Western & Southern Open, as we honor all military and first responder personnel. For both the day and night sessions, any military member or civic personnel who shows a valid ID at the door will receive a half price ticket for the day or evening session, one ticket per ID. Also, 200 tickets will be donated to the Armed Forces Ticket Association, there will be recognition of all current and former members of the armed forces who are in attendance during the evening matches and there’ll be a special National Anthem, coin flip and appearances throughout the matches. It’s a great day, so come be part of the Military and Uniformed Personnel Appreciation Day!

Terrific matchups ahead

Main draw play really kicks in today at the Lindner Family Tennis Center, including Gael Monfils this afternoon, and Madison Keys starting action tonight, both on Center Court. Also on Center Court for the night session is American favorite Jack Sock.

But just because your favorite isn’t playing today, doesn’t mean they’re not on the courts! See the stars practice throughout the day on the grounds. Download the new WSOpen app for iPhone and Android devices and get the latest practice schedules and more!

Great eats are here to be had as well, and tonight starts the series of celebrity chefs appearing at the Robert Mondavi Wine Garden. Tonight it’s Brad Bernstein at 5:30 with his food demonstration. So make sure you stop by, and we’ll see you Around the Grounds!
