Mazunte, Revolution Rotisserie, and Auntie Anne’s are new options at
Cincinnati’s summer professional tennis event.
The Western & Southern Open announced today the food court lineup for the 2016 tournament taking place August 13-21 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
Of the 15 vendors, the new additions are Mexican-inspired Mazunte, chicken purveyors Revolution Rotisserie, the classic Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, and from the Jeff Ruby culinary empire: Carlo & Johnny.
Highlighting Mazunte Tequeria’s offerings will be the Tostada, a generous portion of ingredients piled on top of their homemade chips including black bean puree, meat or veggies (chicken, pork, chorizo, or mushroom/zucchini), covered with spinach, guacamole salsa, roasted red pepper salsa, pico de gallo, goat cheese, and Mexican crema. Mazunte will also offer a number of tacos and chips and guacamole.
Originating in Findlay Market, Revolution Rotisserie’s flagship store now resides on Race Street in Over the Rhine. One of the featured entrees for the event is the Chicken Coup Poutine, a spread of tater tots, rotisserie chicken, mozzarella, and gravy. Revolution will also serve their chicken and pita combination, Chitas, in a variety of styles and toppings.
The classic soft pretzels by Auntie Anne’s will also be joining the lineup this year. Popularized by their ever-present shopping mall locations, Auntie Anne’s will bring a variety of the iconic pretzels to the W&S Open and operate from a number of locations around the grounds.
Part of the Jeff Ruby steakhouse empire, Carlo & Johnny will lead their menu with an Italian Prime Beef Sandwich as one of the featured entrees for the tournament. The sandwich includes sliced prime rib, Italian imported provolone, sautéed peppers, sweet onions, and fresh herb au jus. Additional selections include a sampling from their full menu, led by jumbo shrimp and filet mignon skewers.
The Western & Southern Open will offer many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options to accommodate all guests. Almost all restaurants have options for kids, picky eaters, or those with dietary restrictions.
For example, the popular sushi restaurant, Fusian, is one of the returning vendors and offers a ‘make your own roll’ option that allows guests to customize the dish to their dietary needs including vegan, gluten free, and shellfish, dairy, and soy sensitive items.
Many Cincinnati traditions will also be returning including LaRosa’s, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Montgomery Inn, and Skyline. The full food court lineup is as follows:
