Second match on Center Court will feature the 2005 US Open champion
Kim Clijsters, who is back in tennis for the first time since 2007, against 2005 Cincinnati champion
Patty Schnyder.
The fourth seed and 2008 Olympic gold medalist
Elena Dementieva will make her Cincinnati debut against Belgium’s
Yanina Wickmayer in the last singles match of the day session on Center Court.
Three of the Top 11 players in the world will be playing on the Grandstand Court on Wednesday, including 2006 Cincinnati champion and No. 7 seed
Vera Zvonareva, the eighth seed
Caroline Woznianki and No. 11 seed and 2008 French Open champion
Ana Ivanovic.
Six more singles matches will be shared between Court 3 and Court 4, and headlining that action is an 11 a.m. match between 2007 Cincinnati champion
Anna Chakvetadze against No. 9 seed
Victoria Azarenka.
